Health & Safety

MPE conference is returning to Berlin in-person in February 2022. Health and safety are a priority at the MPE. We will continue to update this page regularly in line with public health measures, so you know what to expect in February.

Official vaccine certificates or a negative Covid-19 test will be required to attend the. MPE. Where attendees cannot provide official certificates, organizers will need a negative PCR test, which will remain valid for 24 hours.

The conference venue (InterContinental Berlin hotel) or any other hotels of your stay are only allowed to accommodate people who have tested negative on the day of arrival and who also have a negative test result on every third day of their stay. Attendees staying in the hotel must present this proof to the reception staff. This does not apply to people who are considered fully vaccinated or have recovered.

A COVID-19 test center is set up directly in the conference as part of our safety and hygiene concept. Any attendees whose PCR tests are about to expire (24 hours) can use this service at their convenience.

Opening times: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

You can reach the test center via one of our side entrances or the lobby.

While it's unlikely that masks will be legally required indoors in Germany by February 2022, MPE will support any attendee who wishes to wear a mask.

MPE will ensure that all appropriate measures are adhered to as set by the German health authorities in February.

If any rules regarding vaccines and mask-wearing change closer to February, all attendees will be alerted in a timely fashion.

To observe the up-to-date regulations of the Berlin Senate, which also apply to our event, please see the detailed provisions here:

The organizer's COVID19 safety plan to be in place will be specified closer to the event, respecting the requirements as defined by the Berlin Senate.
