MPE 2023 will traditionally host payments innovators and rising stars in the TWO DAY FORMAT COMPETITION.
INNOVATION HUB is a unique concept that brings innovative "game-changing" startup companies to the attention of most senior decision-makers in the European Merchant Payment Ecosystem.
Startups would have the opportunity to pitch in Dragon's den style presentations, showcasing ground-breaking ideas for improving merchant payments in front of the JURY and the industry's most distinguished audience.
Only the best of the best will make it to the main stage the next day and will have the opportunity to win the MPE innovation award!
WHEN: Conference DAY 1 (March 28, 2023), afternoon sessions

Beginning with a keynote & panel discussion with senior industry stakeholders discussing why innovations in technology and experience are reshaping payments, the session continues with the INNOVATION HUB FINAL.
A JURY'S selection of the three most innovative startups from the previous day will continue in the battle to gain the title of "Best Start-up innovation" of the year in a Dragon's den style competition. MPE audience and JURY will choose the winner via a LIVE voting process. The winner of the MPE innovation award will be announced at the prestigious MPE Awards and proclaimed "Best Start-up Innovation".

Benefits for shortlisted start-ups:
- One free ticket for the speaker + discounted tickets for other colleagues to attend the MPE program for all three days (if the ticket for the speaker is purchased already, you could transfer the speaker's ticket to another colleague)
- Short presentation or live demo of your company' s solutions as a part of the INNOVATION HUB.
- If selected by JURY to the final THREE, the opportunity to appear on MPE main stage to compete for the "Best Start-up Innovation" award.
- All shortlisted companies may attend the MPE Awards gala dinner, where the "Best Start-up Innovation" winner will be announced and awarded.
Please make sure your company meets the following criteria:
- Is new to the market company, in the stage of a start-up
- Is a part of the next generation of merchant payment and POS service providers
- Stands behind a breakthrough idea or product that might disrupt established practices
- Represents a new breed of payment providers with big ambitions and a powerful proposition
- Acts as a catalyst for the next generation of merchant payments
- Its solutions and services have already been launched at least in trial and are in their essence either game-changing, breakthrough, innovative or unique
- The solution/service the company offers provides a value proposition with a measurable ROI
First step:
You send us your entry submission, and we will confirm your contest enrolment right away. If you fulfil the criteria, do not hesitate to submit. Entries received after February 28 will not be accepted.
Second step:
All entries get individually judged by a dedicated group of industry professionals (MPE Awards Committee), consisting of independent consultants, industry experts, and specialized journalists.
Third step:
Twelve companies get shortlisted. Representatives will be notified and given further instructions on preparing for their appearance at the MPE 2023 Conference.
